Hotel Tadoussac |
Belugas along with minke whales are some of the most common whale sightings that you will witness off the shores of Tadoussac. The tours that are available out of the village are run by AML and Dufour which offer zodiac, large and small boat possibilities. The video above is taken from a larger boat.
The population of Tadoussac increases exponentially in the late spring and summer months as families that call this their summer home arrive to take the boards off their windows, air out the premises and get ready to welcome family and friends.
Tadoussac is a hub of activity in the month of June with their annual music festival, Festival de la Chanson de Tadoussac with people arriving from all over the province to listen to music sung from churches, beachfronts, cafés and even a short kayak trip to a private beach location...

Although the population of Tadoussac is French, the arrival of English families and the opening of the protestant church turn the village into an interesting and diverse community over the summer months. Many of these English families have been coming to Tadoussac for close to 150 years. Six to seven generations of families have been opening the same house over the years. The Price family were one of the first families to build a home in Tadoussac. Many of these families come from Montreal, parts of Ontario and as far away as England in some cases.
The hotel Tadoussac is the largest and one of the most popular hotels in the area. The film Hotel New Hampshire was actually shot at this hotel.
